Privacy

examen.church and the Examen app keep nothing about you. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and no server that stores what you mark.

What stays on your device

The items you mark, the numbers you enter, and anything you add are stored only on your phone or computer: in the browser on the website, and in the app in the iPhone Keychain or the Android Keystore. In the app they stay on that phone and are not carried to another phone through a backup. You can erase them at any time under After. If you turn on the lock, the app asks for Face ID, a fingerprint, or your device code before showing them.

Reminders

A confession reminder is scheduled on your own device, in your calendar on the website or as a local notification in the app. It is not sent through any service.

What the website receives

Like any website, examen.church receives the ordinary request for its pages. It sets no cookies and loads nothing from advertisers, analytics companies, or any other outside service; its typefaces are served from examen.church itself.

Children

The guide is written for adults preparing for confession. It collects no information from anyone.
